Everything about P-120 Malakhit totally explained

P-120 Malakhit (; ) is a Russian (former Soviet) medium range cruise missile. Developed by OKB-52 MAP (later NPO Mashinostroyeniye). Its GRAU designation is 4K85. And its NATO reporting name is SS-N-9 Siren (External Link). It entered service in the Soviet Navy on March 17 1972 on the Nanuchka-class and Tarantul-class corvettes, and the Charlie-II and Papa class submarines (External Link). It has since been superseded by the SS-N-22 Sunburn.
